The 22nd Annual Harrisburg Gallery Walk is slated for Sunday, September 12, 11 AM to 6 PM, with 31 sites included this year. As always, Gallery Walk is free, with a flyer and map available at all participating galleries.

All Gallery Walk sites can be identified by the emerald green flags sporting a big yellow “G”! A flyer and map will be available at all participating galleries, and an electronic version will be posted on the website soon.
“An exhibit of Photographer Michael Barone’s work, “Censor This II, Fetish and Fantasy,” opens with an artist reception from 6 to 10 p.m. Saturday (August 14) at the ArtHouse Lounge in downtown Harrisburg. Some of Barone’s models will be at the reception. No one under 21 will be admitted.”

Gallery Blu, owned by Christina Heintzelman-Jones and Bluett Jones, recently received Harrisburg Magazine’s “Simply The Best” award for best art gallery. Readers of Harrisburg Magazine vote for various award categories and the awards are announced in August. Gallery Blu opened in March of 2009 and features exhibits that change bimonthly. The gallery focuses on local and regional artists and also gives voice to newly emerging artists. In additional the gallery has hosted four internationally shown artists during its 2010 season.

Christina Heintzelman-Jones, Co-owner and Curator of Gallery Blu will exhibit in a one woman/one day show at El Serrano Restaurant’s courtyard, 2151 Columbia Avenue, Lancaster, PA.
Saturday, July 24 from 11AM – 8 PM
The show is entitled “Visions From Peru” and showcases Christina’s photography taken during an extensive hiking tour through the Sacred Valley, Machu Picchu and Cusco, all located in Southwestern Peru.
The show creates a visual landscape of the area and its people by incorporating Peru’s past and present.
